Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, Representative Director President & COO: Shinichi TANIGUCHI) has released "Mabuchi Motor Integrated Report 2021".

We have been issuing the Integrated Report in order to provide all of our stakeholders, including shareholders, investors, customers, business partners, and local communities, with an understanding of our management principle, our value creation process from the past to the future, and our efforts to contribute to a sustainable society.

 

 

Main Points of "Mabuchi Motor Integrated Report 2021

  • The message from the CEO describes the management policy and strategy to realize sustainable corporate value improvement based on our management principle, and explains in detail our Next-generation Standardization Strategy, Mabuchi Global Management, and management foundation as our strengths to achieve specific goals.
  • In this interview with the COO, we explain in detail the progress of the Mid-term Management Plan, the growth opportunities and business strategies resulting from the progress of EVs and automated driving, and the growth strategies in the 3M domains (Mobility, Machinery, and Medical) that we have defined as our future growth areas.
  • We describe climate change initiatives in accordance with TCFD guidelines for information disclosure.
  • As part of our environmental efforts, we explain how the sales expansion of our motors itself leads to energy savings in our customers' products and how our products contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions. In addition, we have enhanced information disclosure regarding new initiatives such as the Internal Carbon Pricing (ICP) program and the introduction of the "Sustainable Products" program.
  • In the Corporate Governance section, a "Progress in Strengthening Corporate Governance" is newly included.
  • In the section of the round-table discussion of Outside Directors, outside directors who serve on the Nominating Committee, a voluntary advisory body to the Board of Directors, discuss the role this committee has played in the transition to the new management structure, as well as the company's strengths and expectations for the future from the perspective of outside directors. You would gain a better understanding of the effectiveness and transparency of our outside directors and our governance structure continuing the last year’s edition.
